    Plain language summary: CVTailor is a tool to help you tailor your CV for job applications. Use it honestly and responsibly. The generated CV is yours to use, but we provide it as-is with no guarantees about job outcomes.
  

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using CVTailor ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

2. Description of service

CVTailor is a web application that uses AI (Anthropic's Claude API) to help you tailor your CV to a specific job description. The Service generates a customized CV based on the content you provide. CVTailor is based in the Netherlands.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of all CV content and job descriptions you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant CVTailor a limited, temporary license to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring that the content you submit is accurate and does not infringe the rights of others. Do not submit content that:

Contains personal data of third parties without their consent
Violates any applicable law or regulation
Is false, misleading, or fraudulent
Contains malicious code, scripts, or injection attempts

5. AI-generated output

The CV generated by the Service is produced by an AI model and is provided for your review and use. You are solely responsible for:

Reviewing the generated content for accuracy before using it
Ensuring the final CV you submit to employers is truthful and accurate
Any consequences arising from use of the generated content

CVTailor does not guarantee that using the generated CV will result in job interviews, offers, or any particular outcome.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service to generate fraudulent CVs or misrepresent your qualifications to employers
Attempt to circumvent rate limits, abuse the Service, or use automated scripts to make excessive requests
Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service
Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law

7. Rate limits

The Service applies rate limits to ensure fair use for all users. Attempting to bypass these limits may result in your access being blocked.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the AI-generated output will be suitable for your specific purpose. Use the Service at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch and EU law, CVTailor and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunities or professional harm resulting from use of AI-generated content.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed €0 (as the Service is currently free of charge).

10. Third-party services

The Service uses Anthropic's Claude API to process your content. Your use of CVTailor is also subject to Anthropic's usage policies. We are not responsible for the availability or behavior of third-party services.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands. EU consumers retain any mandatory rights under EU consumer protection law.
